In the Park of the Murgia Materana in the South of Italy there is a roof cistern that was restored with traditional techniques by IPOGEA and Italcementi Spa.<\/h5>\n

\"cist_01\"<\/a> <\/p>\n

The cistern dates back to the 1800s and is made of calcarenite blocks. It consists in an underground vaulted room for collecting water covered by a span-roof that emerges from the ground level, the mouth of the well for harvesting water and a basin for the animals.<\/p>\n

The restoration was carried out using traditional techniques. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
